Could someone who is much wiser than myself, please, help me with sorting out the ancestry of the following family! I am especially interested in any additional records relating to German/Germain/Jerman Weeks who was their son, born 13 Mar 1804 in Scipio, Cayuga, New York. I have been researching them for over 40 years and have never gotten beyond the following records. Is there a way to identify the maiden name of Elizabeth, the wife of Robert Weeks? (I have wondered if she might be the daughter of Joest (Joseph) German/Jerman/Jermain and his wife Ann Mary Johannis Van Nieuwkirk. My reasoning is that Elizabeth and Robert named a son, Joseph and one German, it appears that Elizabeth was born in Scipio in 1776, however, so far, I have found no additional proofs or information concerning her parentage. Elizabeth German is listed in the will of Joest German, which was proved 02 Feb 1792 in Montgomery, Orange, New York, USA). I do not have the names of Robert's parents either. If I am correct it appears that he became a member of the Quaker faith about the time of his marriage to Elizabeth _____. Elizabeth _____ Weeks must have died as the last mention I find of her is " Farmington Weeks Elizebeth rocf Farmington Scippio MM w of Roberts with 6 ch: James Germain Rachel Josep Mary & Jane 1817 1 17 F 335 1.3 19 87510." I have, however, never found a record of her death or burial. It appears that both Elizabeth and their daughter Jane, died before It appears that Jane died before the Quaker Census of 1828 as they are not entered in that census with t he rest of the family. I need to find their death records, grave site, etc. As shown below I have traced their other children in Quaker records to where they 'married out.' I do have additional information on them but nothing to identify the parents of either Robert or Elizabeth _____ Weeks.
