Good morning, Does anyone on this list know where in Tennessee, or what area the Quaker's resided? I have an ancestor whose first name was Mourning and I was told that it was a Quaker name. Her last name, married was Mitchel/Mitchell and they moved to Alabama abt 1830. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated as this line has been very hard to trace. The only Quaker settlements in Tennessee were in East Tennessee--Blount, Greene, Washington, Jefferson, and Knox counties. While some Quakers used "Mourning" as a daughter's name, I have found non-Quakers who also did. T.
