    1. John Cook (1765-1842), son of Abraham & Phebe (Mills) Cook
    2. List, I found a posting about Flower Swift's Militia in Montgomery Co., Virginia _http://www.ls.net/~newriver/va/swift/swiftbio.html_ (http://www.ls.net/~newriver/va/swift/swiftbio.html) Scroll down to Cook & Cox. A John Cook is found on two undated muster lists from 1780/81/82 or 1783 and the webmaster names John Cook, b. 1765, son of Abraham & Phebe Mills as a small possibility. I've contacted Mr. Quinn and he has no further other then what is posted. He points out correctly that John was probably too young 15-18. He tells me 18 was usually the cut off age, but not always. The only thing that strikes me about his family records is that he married later then most young Quaker men, after the Revolution in 1792 to Lydia Hussey. They were disowned for the marriage 10/27/1792. Has anyone heard about this? Bob Cooke
