The John Cox of SC (b.ca.1742) who marr. Jemima ---- & was parent of David Cox (b.ca.1768) who married 1792 Jane Owen & 1809 Phebe Thomas & John Cox (b. 9 May 1772) who married 1797 Sarah ---- Don't have parentage but have not previously seen anything attributing him as son of Thomas Cox & Mary Cook. These are the only John Coxes with wife Jemima, of the appropriate vintage, that I am aware of.
