I have saved an old e-mail that was sent in Jan 2002. It mentions a book about the Hills of Randolph and Guilford county, NC and says that Chapter 6 is Moving Westwqard to Kentucky and Ohio. Does anyone have a title for this book? Now that I am pretty certain that my Elliott line is from that general vicinity, I would like to see if that book might be helpful to my research. Marshall Elliott was born 24 Jan 1844, Guilford Co, NC ; and he was the grandson of James W. & Miriam (Hoggatt) Mendenhall, who are my 3G-Grandparents. I have used his family research charts of Mendenhalls from copies held by LDS, Salt Lake City, UT. I believe that he may have done some work on Elliott Family -- this idea is that I remember seeing a chart heading with Elliott Family heading in my Mendenhall research. He died before he got his works published. Many of his papers, atleast the Mendenhall ones, are held in Chester County (Pennsylvania) Historical Society, as I understsnf -- See Title page of the Albumn.
