I am just getting interested in Quakers in Pennsylvania--I am entirely ignorant---going back two generations in my Elliott line takes me to the area that you are talking about below. Can anyone point me to easy and accurate information about Chirstiana Hundred and Chester County? I just want some framework to use to begin my research in that area. Thanks so much for any help that you can give me. Marsha, If you google (1) Delware County, A History and (2) Cope & Furthy's History of Chester County, you'll be able to access two major resources for researching relatives in these counties (Delaware County used to be part of Chester County). There's a lot of general (fascinating) historical information in the Delaware County book. Not sure what is the best source for the Christiana Hundred. Swarthmore College is a great resource for that type of info.
