This is all very interesting. Especially, since I am looking at a marriage that probably took place in Anson County. I am trying to confirm the marriage of a Rachel Moorman to a James Adcock who I have found in land records as owning a ferry on the Pee Dee River that was purchased from a Moorman. This is a round about way to find out more about the Adcocks.
