    1. Re: [Q-R] Quaker Ancestors
    2. Hi Jackie; We are fortunate in Colorado Springs to have two very active genealogy groups that wholeheartedly support the Pikes Peak library which offers Ancestry Plus, Heritage Quest, Newspapers.Com, New England Gen. and Historical site plus many others. Heritage Quest is free to home computers from their site. They work hand-in-hand with the LDS centers. The Quaker reference material at the library is extensive and the founder of Colorado Springs is considered to be General William Jackson Palmer, a Quaker (is that an oxymoron). ( We have some fabulous Quaker costumes (clothing) at the Pioneer Museum here from their family.) PPLD provides free genealogy classes several times each month with the help of the local gen-society. I happen to have Ancestry.com at home because I do hours of research every day but I couldn't live without our library. I guess you could say we're on a Rocky Mountain high. Cheers for Chester Co.
