    3. Dear Paul and Violet, Thanks you for your help. Paul with the data you sent me, I then went to the HEQG for North Carolina and now have the line back to Samuel and Miriam Coffin in Nantucket, Mass. William, born 1720, Samuel and Miriam's son went to North Carolina in 1773. Wm's son, Samuel born 1740 married Mary, their son John born 1778 is John M's father. I noticed that you have John M Coffin's first wife dying in Linden, Dallas County, Ia. The record for Cedar Creek says 10-8-1896, John M. (minister) rocf from Linden MM. Can anyone tell me exactly where this meeting was? I am sorry Paul I can not help you with his children. If I uncover something in Iowa Quaker records I will let you know. I am not related but wanted some information on his family and line for my book I am working on. He was the assistant minister and Tamar Maddock was the minister. I notice that she married John to Mary Hockett Frazier in 1896. The name of the little town where married, is Denova. You might want to correct. Thanks again. Tamar and John were the first paid ministers at Cedar Creek. 3. To Jean Leeper, or whomever, Pls help me...you said that Samuel and Mary's son was born in 1778???????? According to EQG, Deep River MM, Vol.1, Pg 804, Samuel & Mary were md 1792, 3, 8. What's gone wrong here? It does seem a little out of whack that they weren't md and had children until they were over 50 yo????? Thanks for helping me get this straightened out.
