I have been very interested in the comments concerning folks from Chester Co. PA and Fayette Co. PA. My husband has deep roots in Fayette Co. and Chester Co. also. One of the Fayette Co. lines is the Brownfield family who settled in the Fayette Co area after the Rev War. Another family is the Mathias Chipps family. Mathias' son, David married Susannah Thompson, dau. of Robert Thompson and Tacy ?. Susannah and David Chipps left Fayette Co somewhere between the 1850 and 1860 census where they are found in Grundy Co. Mo. From Grundy Co. list of permenant deaths, Susannah's birth place is given as Chester Co. PA. I have been searching Chester Co. for some clues or leads and it appears that there is a close connection to the Baileys who were also in Fayette Co. but came from Chester. These famlies may have been Quaker. From a 1868 Fayette Co. court document, Robert and Tacy Thompson's other children were: Martha m. Samuel Sutton, living in Jackson Co. Iowa; Ellen m. John Coons, living in Hamilton Co. Ohio; Eliza m. Samuel Earnest, living in Anderson Co. Kansas; Jane m. ? Sutton, living in Fayette Co. aand Amanda m. Robert Bailey, living in Fayette Co. Would anyone have any comments or suggestions. Thank you very much. Patsy Hand
