    3. On Nov 30, Bonnie posted the address of the Guilford County Genealogical Society from whom the Hughes map can be purchased. (PO Box 49104, Greensboro, NC 27419-1104) The cost is approximately $10. In the index I referred to earlier, the author says, "This [Guilford County] map has also been indexed in the Guilford Genealogist, vol 12, p. 36-48 (Fall 1984). In this index the squares are further subdivided in NW, NE, SE, and SW sections." I suspect this is the "supplement" which comes with the map when you purchase it. We have not been as fortunate as you have been here...although we have the land deeds for our Northam ancestor who was present in the county at this time, he's not on the map, darn it. But the map has been a great help as we've been able to take the land records and find the approximate area for his land. 3. Saralie, The "supplement" is a paperback book that is just full of information about Guilford County - pioneers, teachers, schools, muster roll of militia 1779, diet, taverns, Rowan Court minutes relatig to Guilford county people, etc. There are indexes for landowners, persons and subjects. It is the best $10 (postpaid) I've ever spent.
