I have just received a journal compiled by my G Grandfather Thomas Kirk Bufkin from about 1913 to 1920. It appears it was typed later and some of the dates may have been misread. If you have any records that would help I would be very grateful. Here are some quotes from the journal. "Thomas Kirk, my mother's gr father, was born the 26th day of the 9th Mo. 1744. Hannah Cadwallader was born the 16th of the 12th Mo. 1747, and the said Thomas Kirk and Hannah Cadwallader was married agreeable to the order among Friends on the 21st day of the 10th Mo., 1773" He then lists their children and the dates they were born. Among them is listed "Thomas Kirk b. 21st day of the 3rd Mo. 1781, d. 26th of the 7th Mo. 1815" He then says "Thos. Kirk (Mother's father) was born in York Co., Penn.,21st day of the 6th M0. 1787 and was married to Sarah Taylor,23rd of the 11th Mo. 1809. Moved to Henry Co., Ind in 1831, from Clearfield Co., Penn." He then lists their children including his Mother Mary Ann Kirk b 8th Mo. 26th, 1817. She married Warner Mifflin Bufkin. My dilemma is was Thos Kirk born March 21 1781 or June 21 1787.
