    1. Letitia M. Heston
    2. Hi list; Searching for info on Letitia M. Heston, b. 1791, most probably in Baltimore. An exquisite example of her needlework, dated 1821, Baltimore, exists in Ohio. She was also known to be a needlework instructress and her name is embroidered on at least 3 or 4 young girls' samplers as their teacher. She moved with some family members to Centre MM in Clinton County, OH and then to Springboro, OH where she married late in life to Zachariah Lounes (Loundes). They are buried in the Quaker cemetery there. Hoping to find more info about her life in the east, possibly as a needlework teacher, as part of an ongoing documentation project about Ohio samplers, their makers and teachers.
