    3. You have the "genealogies" of Guilford and Randolph counties correct. Roughly, the eastern third of the two was part of Orange County before 1770, and the western 2/3 was part of Rowan. What was known as the "Trading Path" ran basically east to west across the northern part of Randolph County.
