Concerning my correspondence with Mark Dixon, upon which Stewart Baldwin and Thomas Hamm have commented, I have located copy on the internet of a portion of the book by Alfred R. Justice, _Ancestry of Jeremy Clark of Rhode Island and Dungan Genealogy_. I am satisfied to consider Lewis Latham, Falconer in the courts of James I and Charles I of England, as the father of Frances Latham who first married William Dungan, then married Jeremiah Clark, then married William Vaughn. It appears that some members of this family were leaders among the early Baptists in Rhode Island, while some of the Dungans became Quakers and moved to Bucks County, PA. Concerning a mailing I received from Linda York, who stated that William Large was married to Rebecca ______, at the time that he emigrated from Hingham, Norfolk to Hingman, Massachusetts in 1635 or 1636, I am not prepared to affirm or deny. There seems to be a record that a William Large married an Elizabeth Lincoln in Hingman, Norfolk in 1634. Perhaps there were two men named William Large in Norfolk at that time. I believe that there has been discussion of this matter on a Large Family website, but I am not able to retrieve this discussion at this time. Concerning a mailing I received thanking me for data I had provided concerning the lineage of Ruth Large, I must say that this data was derived from a variety of sources pieced together through the years, only a small portion from the Hinshaw volumes. The data has been derived from copies of wills, from references provided on the internet, and from some New England civil and Quaker records, the original sources with which I am not familiar. Sources should be checked before this data is published in genealogical journals. - Herbert Standing.
