Thomas MILLARD Sr was born 1642 in Warwickshire, England, and died 1712 in Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Cox on 30 May, 1670, in Edgbaston, England. He was the first of the Pennsylvania Millards to come to the United States approx.1681. William Penn had asked him to travel to Pennsylvania ahead of his ships to prepare housing and suitable lodgings for the Quaker families who would follow in Penn's ships. Known is that he arrived with his son Thomas Millard Jr. in approx. 1681, and that perhaps his wife "Elizabeth?" Millard arrived later on April 24,1862. The captain's name(or perhaps another officer in charge of the ship) was Epaphroditus Benton. Hi, listers. I've recently worked my way back to this fellow. I don't know for sure that he was a Friend but, given his associates, he might have been. Is anyone else descended from Thomas and Elizabeth (Cox) Millard and have reliable information about them?
