    3. There was a Quaker Boone family at Spiceland. Roger Boone, a genealogist whose work will be familiar to some of us, is a descendant. The Spiceland Boones are descendants of a John Boone who married Dorcas Chestnut (1765-1846). They were in Duplin County, North Carolina, when their son Driver Boone (1795-1881) was born. They did not become Friends until 1814, after they had moved to Guilford County. I'm not aware that anyone has connected them with the Berks County, Pennsylvania, family.
