If I'm understanding your question correctly, then I should mention that some Boones did remain Quakers. It was the Squire Boone family specifically that left the Quaker faith while still living in Pennsylvania. I believe the primary motive of Squire Boone's move to North Carolina was due to economic circumstances (improving his family's standard of living).
