    3. I have been doing research on the ancestors of Thomas Morgan & Ann Ogan. At this point I am thoroughly confused. I have found one family tree which gives Thomas Morgan b. abt 1745 in Frederick, VA and Nancy b. abt. 1749 in Frederick, VA as his parents. His grandparents were given as Thomas Morgan b abt. 1715 in Wales or VA and Johanna Jackson b. abt 1713 in VA. However, The History of Warren County, OH by Beers quotes from p. 1011 Massie Township states that "William Mrogan, farmer; P.O. Harveysburg; born in Greene Co., Ohio, Nov. 26, 1816; is a son of Thomas and Ann (Ogan) Morgan he is a native of Pennsylvania, and she, it is believed, of Virginia. The grandfather, Thomas Morgan, was a native of Wales, and the grandmother of Ireland." I wondered if the History of Warren Co. was referring to the great grandfather, Thomas Morgan b. abt. 1715 In Wales and married Johanna Jackson b. abt 1713 in VA. However, this cannot be the case since it says the grandmother was born in Ireland. William was a devout Quaker according to the biography. He is the brother of John Morgan who migrated to Iowa and is buried in Earlham Cemetery, Madison Co., IA. John is the great, great grandfather of my husband. One person told me to be careful researching Thomas Morgan in Frederick Co., VA -- I might get the wrong one. That our Thomas married Lettice. A little research today revealed that the children of their son, Thomas Morgan, did not match those of our line. Can anyone shed some light on this?
