Their son Thomas married Nancy (date not known) She was in born in 1749 in Frederick, VA. Their son, Thomas was born 1785 in VA and married Ann Ogan abt 1809 in Ohio. She was born abt 1790 in VA. 3. Zelda Capehart: I was searching University of Virginia Library, for they are excellent resource for genealogy in Virginia; but you will have to search for what you want. At one time, I had a spcific URL that I used. You can also search the Virginia Archives for Vital Records (posted at end of this message).. ************* Berkley County, Virginia became a part of West Virginia, after the Revolutionary War. Here is a website that came up from today's SEARCH! Read the whole thing, as I may have discovered the Morgan family!.least, I found a Morgan connection. http://www.rootsweb.com/usgenweb/wv/berkeley.htm USGenWeb Archives : West Virginia County Index : Berkeley County Berkeley County WVGenWeb Archives Census Records 1810 Berkeley County, VA (now WV) Federal CensusRobert Rellihan 1850 Berkeley County, VA (now WV) Census Indexby S-K Publications 1880 1% Census Samplesubmitted by Al Zopp Family History/Letters ************* I browsed the USGenWeb Archives for Berkley Co., WVa and found a MORGAN -- lived in "valley of Virginia & Winchester " ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/wv/berkeley/bios/morgan.txt (Read USGenWeb regulations on use of this website.) This bio, I must send to my cousin in Washington State, for this could be her LINE -- her parent's did the genealaogy charts that I have. Your post interested me as I am looking for parents & family of Sarah Morgan b. Monomgahlila Co., WVA & married Johnathan Butler, b. Shanandoah Co., VA. They were married in Morgantown, WVA. Sarah Morgan's parents were James Morgan (1755-1822), born Cheat River, WVA md. Hannah Cox , b. in England. Johnathan & Sarah (Morgan) migrated first to OH and then to IN; and in 1852 Sarah went with a son and a grandson West to the Oregon Country -- I do not believe that they were Quakers, but a grandson married my great-grandmother's niece -- so a Mendenhall/Coffin connection there for both the niece & my great Grandmother were Oregon Pioneers --- also, even my father, who was just an infant at time of their migration. The Butler/Morgan is a lateral connection for me. I am familiar with this part of Virginia, as we lived many years in Fairfax County, in Northern Virginia, and our son went to one of the well known Virginia colleges.. I am now living in Maryland, just 2-4 hrs away. We often stop in Orange, VA in our cross continental trips. http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?srch=105&FORM=AS5&q=Virginia+Vital+Records%2c+Archives Virginia Vital Records Archives. -- from a SEARCH http://vitalrecords.accessgenealogy.com/vavital.htm (I have used these.) I hope these will help in your research!
