Hi Jim. I am a descendant of John and Alce Hollowell through their son Benjamin (then through his daughter Sarah who married Thomas Jessup.) While researching in Salt Lake City I found a book of Craven Co, NC Deed and Will Abstracts (1745-1757, Book 5) which had Benjamin's will included. While it looks to be pretty complete if it is one of the abstracts you mentioned with errors I would appreciate a copy of the one you have for my records. I checked the information I have collected on the Smalls to see if by chance I had copied anything on the other Smalls you mentioned. Apparently not. Most of what I have comes from secondhand sources which I have not as yet had time to check, except I do have a copy of "Early Quaker Records of Southeast Virginia" which I would be happy to do look-ups in.. It has been a few years since I have worked on this line but I seem to recall there is some confusion between 2 Benjamin Smalls, uncle and nephew or some such, one married to a Mary Knight and one to and Elizabeth Belson. Has this been sorted out? I just began going through the "Early Quaker Records etc." book and have become confused again. And I notice I have many notes in my genealogy program to "get busy on this problem". I notice in the Will abstract I have, Benjamin's wife is listed as "Meriam" and they do have a son named John KNIGHT Small. So assume this is the Benjamin married to "Mary"? Also my Sarah Jessop is listed as a daughter. Yet in my genealogy program I seem to have Elizabeth Belson listed as a possible wife for this Benjamin. Apparently I am in need of some help here. This is probably why I gave up last time. Burnis Argo
