    3. Billie Lee Smith, thank you for your informative post - and thank you for the information on the library at the Friends University in Wichita, KS as well as that in Emporia - I will look into them. I am a member of the Rich Family Association and do recieve copies of thier publication "Kin Folk" although it mainly covers the Rich families of Massachusetts and not much on our nomadic Quaker Rich's. The David Rich (b. 1809 in Randolph Co., NC) you mentioned is my ggg grandfather - he didn't die in Indiana but died in Eureka, Greenwood Co., KS. David's wife' (Betsey Scott) died in Stafford Co., KS - They are both buried in Pleasant Valley/Quaker Cemetery, Stafford, Stafford Co., KS ********************************* Death Notice: Stafford Republican August 22, 1895 FROM EUREKA Mr. David Rich died at the residence of his son William, Aug 15th. He had been in poor health for a long time and his death though sudden was not unexpected. next pargraph: Wm Counterman and wife, of Hutchinson, were up to attend the funeral of Mrs. Counterman's father, Mr. Rich. ________ Death Notice: Stafford County Republican July 4, 1889 DIED July 1st, at 9 o'clock p.m. at her home in York tp., Mrs Betsey Rich, wife of David Rich, aged over 70 years. Mrs. Rich had a stroke of paralysis several years ago which rendered her almost helpless. A few days ago she had another attack, and from that time on she gradually sunk, until death claimed its victim. She died in the full triumph of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and has gone home to rest. ********************************************************************** I have nothing on Madison Rich - the John you mentioned was a brother to my David. best of luck & keep me in mind, Jerry Proctor ----- Original Message ----- From: "Billie Lee Smith" <blsmith@rurallink.net> To: "Jerry Proctor" <jerrypro@ix.netcom.com> Sent: Sunday, February 13, 2005 7:49 AM Subject: Re: [Q-R] Kansas Quakers > Dear Mr Proctor, > > About 10 years ago there was a Willis and Betty Jane Rich living Box > 122, Las Animas, CO.
