Hello, #1. I have been saving all the Daniel Boone info coming thru. Is there a Daniel Boone website, which is acurate? #2. Is there a mailing list which might specifically deal with the descendants of Daniel Boone? #3. Is there a Daniel Boone Descendants Association? I have an ancestor named Rachel Boone, born in Kentucky, who married in 1820 in KY to Jesse Doolen, they were early settlers of Illinois. I have never delved into her ancestry, but given the surname and location, I have often wondered if she was not connected to the Daniel Boone clan. I should try now to find out about her ancestry. Best regards, Lilly Martin

In the 1930's and early 1940's there was a Boone Family Association that put out a journal with genealogical information and business proceedings of the Association. This Association in conjunction with the American Order of Pioneers annually put out "American Pioneer Records and the Boone Bulletin, A Magazine of History and Genealogy." They also put out some lineage books in 1942 whcih sere compiled by William Boone Douglass. My grandmother was a member of this association because of her ties to the Boones of Franklin County, Virginia who came from Germany and not related to the British Boones that one associates with Daniel Boone.
