    3. I also have that problem with Family Tree Maker and other programs, so, I use the notes for a lot of data, all in one file that way, so don't put anything in the original date location, instead put it in Notes as B. 5d, 4mo, 1776, or 4mo, 5d, 1776 which ever format you find the data in original documents, no question then as to what you ment. Then include such as (b. 5d, 4mo, 1776 in Dartmouth, MA: d. 12d, 10mo, 1844 as recorded in Whitewater MM records in Wayne Co, IN) This is something that Family Tree Maker and other genealogy programs don't allow you to do all in one place. Yet it now works out great for the format we like to see. I then always edit my Genealogy Reports from FTM to remove the notation More About so and so, to have it read just exactly as I want it to be. I also remove that excessive double spacing that FTM does. Also doing it this way you can add more data about the spouse's family other than just the who was the child of _____& ______ bit and specify that extra information you'd like to present in your report as to where the parents came from, or other siblings of the spouse that are involved in the family report that are of interest.
