    3. Here's what the HELP DESK at Familytreemaker responded when I asked them your question. It looks like it might be possible to use their method. **************************** If you go into Family Tree Maker and select File >> Preferences. Under the Dates and measurements tab select your dates format to be DMY. Then you can simply type in 23/4/1776 whenever you enter a date. *********************************** ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim and Jeannette Haynie" <haynie@iowatelecom.net> To: <QUAKER-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2005 12:02 PM Subject: [Q-R] dates > I have FTM 11 and am trying to keep the dates as correct as possible and the program won't let me. Does anyone know how to do it with this program? I have the dates already written down long-hand in ink so there will copy of that but would like to incorporate the dating in my FTM as well. > Thanks for any help, it is appreciated! > Jeannette Watson Haynie > > > ==== QUAKER-ROOTS Mailing List ==== > Need assistance? FTM will not do that, despite years of my having asking for that as an enhancement--largely because I have many, many Quaker ancestors. If you sense a bit of frustration, you are correct. 3. I use a different genealogy program, so I enter the year in the DATE field, then use the associated NOTE field to put the "Quaker style" date in can this method be used for the program you use ? cheers, Candy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lawrence Bouett" <lbouett@pacbell.net> To: <QUAKER-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: January 18, 2005 08:43 PM Subject: Re: [Q-R] dates > Judy Russell - Tom Russell wrote: > > >Here's what the HELP DESK at Familytreemaker responded when I asked them > >your question.
