    3. Hello Group, Thanks to everyone who responded and offered their help. I am further along than I ever would have thought possible. I have cracked the mystery of my Great Grandfathers parents. I am soooo close to my Quaker origins I can smell the oats (sorry for the cheesy pun, but I can't help myself). I'm going to offer up what I have at the present in hopes that you fine folks can give me further tips and information that can set me off on my search again.....this is pretty fun. My Great Grandfather was found in the 1880 census; Born...1876 estimated Birthplace...OH Age...4 Head of Household...Joseph Haines Relation...Son Father's Birthplace...OH Mother's Birthplace...OH Source Information: Census Place Elmore, Ottawa, Ohio Family History Library Film 1255056 NA Film Number T9-1056 Page Number 373D I found Joseph Haines (My Great Great Grandfather) in the census as well, Born...1844 estimated Birthplace...OH Age...36 Occupation...Painter Race...W Marital Status...M Spouce...Jane Haines Head of Household...Joseph Haines Relation...Self Father's Birthplace...PA Mother's Birthplace...PA Source Information: Census Place Elmore, Ottawa, Ohio Family History Library Film 1255056 NA Film Number T9-1056 Page Number 373D PA, I have to be soooo close. I seem to have run into a dead end from here. What does the collective wisdom of the list suggest? Does anybody know where I can find the information I need next? What Quaker records might I consult to further my search? Anything else you think I have failed to ask but want to share would be greatly appreciated. 3. Scolarguy: Most people start with a check at LDS Ancestoral Files!. www.familysearch.org Latter Day Saints Genealogy site. Start with "SEARCH" by listing an ancestor. I learned from my genealaogy instructor, for the local genealogy society, who was also a worker at the LDS Family History Center that I must "document, Document & DOCUMENT" sources of each ancestor, as you go along! So, I suggest that you go to some LDS FHC and work with some of the volunteers. FHC will either be computeried with Salt Lake City, or will use CD diskettes, both will allow you to print your page. **************** www.gencircles.com GEDCOM sharing site. This website is very good and matches names with other charts placed on GenCircles. It is quite unique! I have used it some over a 2-3 year period; but you may need a little more knowlegde of who is who with your ancestors, at this point.
