I suspect there is a connection between the Lewellings, Llewellyns, Llewelyns & many other variations. But I have not pursued the connection. One of my great grandmothers was Mary Llewellyn. Our ancestor, Morris Llewelyn, who settled in Pennsylvania's' Welsh Tract in 1682, spelled it with only 3 l's. Mary was born in Haverford, PA, part of the Welsh Tract and site of Morris's land and in IN married Daniel W. Hunt, born in NC. They settled in Oskaloosa, IA.
