My ggg grandfather, Shubael Swain, who was from Nantucket and moved to NYC, had a daughter named Sarah Swain. She married ( in a Methodist Church) the twin brother of Abraham Leggett who was a Quaker- her husband was Isaac Leggett. This is why I am puzzling about when my line stopped being Quakers; I am also wondering if his son, Valentine, who moved to Cleveland, Ohio, could have been a Quaker; a description of him, in an oral history, certainly sounds like he could have been. Anyone know this family- Leggett? I have seen Abraham in the Quaker Encyclopedia. Sue
