Who I BELIEVE are in my Quaker roots are 1) ISAAC JACKSON, who came over from Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland in 1725 on the ship "Sizargh" to New Castle DE. He was a son of Anthony Jackson, an early Quaker convert in Lancashire, and a follower of Edmondson to Ireland. His wife was Ann EVANS, who was also doubtless of Quaker descent, the daughter of Rowland Evans of Balliloing in County Wicklow. Their son John married a Sarah MILLER, and theri son John married an unrelated Susanna Jackson in 1743. All were Quaker marriages. 2) EPHRAIM JACKSON, who came over as an indentured servant to the Hasll family to Bucks County in 1684-5. He later married Rachel NEWLIN, a descendant of Nathaniel and Nicholas Newlin of the famous Newlin Grist Mill in PA. Ephraim's son Joseph also married a girl from the MILLER family and their daughter Susanna Jackson (see above) married John Jackson (also see above), uniting thses two disparate Jackson lines in Chester and Delaware Counties.
