Subject: Re: [Q-R] Fw: Preston lineage My Preston ancestors started in this country in 1635 when Richard Sr. immigrated to Upper Norfolk County, Virginia, from England. He converted to Quakerism in Maryland c. 1658. His grandson Samuel married the Quaker Rachel Lloyd in 1688. Rachel Lloyd was the daughter of Thomas Lloyd, a Welsh Quaker who came to Pennsylvania with William Penn. His brother was the founder of Lloyds of London. Barbara L. de Mare, Esq.
