    1. [Q-R] Van Bibber / Boone
    2. The Van Bibbers in my granddaughter-in-law's line begin with (most recent) Olive Van Bibber 1783-1858, who married Daniel Boone's son Nathan. She left Greenbriar County KY to move with Nathan and his family to Missouri. My recollection is that Daniel's family had all left, but 18-year-old Nathan turned back and stayed for a while with 16-year-old Olive's family till he could persuade them to let the couple marry. Then Olive and Nathan, about a month behind the rest of the bunch, traveled through the wilderness by themselves till they found the rest of the Boones. (They were somewhat delayed by a lame horse.) While I have listed Olive's parents as Peter Van Bibber jr (1734-1799) and Margery Bounds, at least one source I found says Olive was a niece living with that family. Peter jr's father was, naturally, Peter sr 1695-1769, and the name I have for his mother is Ann Honriette XX. Peter sr is s/o of Emigrant Isaac Jacob van Bibber (1663-1723) and Francse Schumacher (b 1669). I haven't done any proving of any of this stuff.
