Good evening. I have recently added your site to my bookmarks. My family in the 17th century Flushing, Hempstead Long Island areas is directly linked to John Bowne, William Thorne and the Flushing Remonstrance of 1657. One of William Thorne's daughters married John Bowne and many of the Thornes from this generation who dropped the "e" from Thorne were of the Quaker faith and spread into New Jersey.
