I have not tracked down the background on this entry yet. I think I might order the microfilm of the Great Baddow registers from the LDS Family History Center (we have one 15 miles away), and see what Page entries I can discover. A marriage to Elizabeth Pease would explain the clause in Abraham Sr.'s will appointing his "Cozen" Thomas Pease as executor. It could well be that the three young boys were raised by a brother of their mother (i.e. Thomas Pease), and his wife. The term "cozen", or cousin, was used very loosely sometimes. But it could also mean that Thomas Pease was a cousin of Abraham's wife, rather than a brother. Perhaps the parish registers will illuminate all this. This is the first ancestor of mine that I have discovered from Essex so it's quite interesting to me. Regards, Marilyn Winton Totten Windows Live™: Keep your life in sync.
