Liane, Just a quick reply that others can perhaps answer more fully. As mentioned earlier the Digests are explained on the Society website www.qfhs.co.uk then go to Research Then go to Digests of Births, Marriages and Burials. Please excuse me not typing it all again. They are an important source of pre 1837 data for Quaker family historians. The Digests were produced by Quarterly Meeting as they were at the time of production as explained on the website. Removal Certificates aren't in the Digests. The CDs contain data transcribed from the Digests with minor loss of detail. The original records contain more detail than the Digests.
