Dec 4 1909 Sherbrooke Record page 7 An item saying Mrs Wilson of Newport Vt had been allowed into Canada to visit her husband, who was in jail in Sherbrooke on a "serious charge". The item further mentioned that Mrs Wilson had been "turned back earlier as an undesirable" ! ++++++++++++++++++++++ Dec 6 1909 page 1 An article mentioning the farmers around West Bolton - Stukely were suffering from loss of their stock. The hardest hit was a Hiram Phelps who'd lost 4 cows. Vets & Gov. Inspectors had been called in but couldn't identify the problem.
