I have recently received several land grants in which my 5th great grandfather and two of his sons applied for in the 1780's and 1790's. Most were in the area of the Eastern Townships.I also have a list of all those that took the oath at Missisquoi Bay in 1795. In most of these documents it lists their residence as Campbell's Segniory. I believe this to be a part of Christie's Manor since this is where they eventually settled. Has anyone ever heard of this before, could it be possible that this seigniory may have been a part of Vermont before the official boundaries were drawn between Canada and the USA? R. J.
