Pike River is a small township about 10 miles north of the border crossing at Philipsburg. The road is the continuation of I-89 which I think is Route 133 once it crosses into Quebec. The town is located on a right angle turn in the road where it crosses the river. It was originally one of several villages within the township of Stanbridge. Look on the map about 2 miles west of Bedford PQ. > -----Original Message----- > From: Alger and Walcott Family [mailto:141asr@surfree.com] > Sent: Sunday, June 11, 2000 9:54 AM > To: QC-ETANGLO-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: RE: [QC-ETANGLO] Where is Pike River? > > > I have an ancestor Andrew Rublee who is said to have left Berkshire, > Franklin Co, VT and settled in "Pike River".
