The Root Family has its origin in early CT. I am not a Root Descendant but I have seen a beautifully done book , check FHL Library for a copy. Gives the early emigrants, the homelots, place of origin in England and quite a bit more on descendants. I believe it was done by the local historical society , in the 1970's or 80's. I bought a pristine copy from a sale table because I admired the way it was laid out, its excellent photography and careful research. Unfortunately for me I gave it to a Root descendant whom I thought would appreciate it even more. I made many copies of pages I liked, which unfortunately I cannot lay my hands on at this time, try finding it first, if you cannot, I will try in December . Michelle
