Dear Listers: I am sending this to the three Quebec lists so sorry if it is duplicated. I am researching the Duncan McRAE family that lived in Hopetown around the turn of the 19th century. Duncan was born in Scotland(?) abt. 1751 and married Margaret McIntosh. They had a son Farquhar born 1777 and married Margaret (Gow) (Smith). I am descended from their son William McRae born 1804, m. Isabella Ross d/o John Ross and Catherine Morrison. William and Isabella later moved to Grey Co. Ontario and Gore Bay, Manitoulin Island, Algoma Co., Ontario. I would like to correspond with anyone searching for these families as I have a lot of information to share.
