Who was Joseph JOHNSON, who lived in Foucault in the 1820-27 time period? It appears he owned 100 acres in lot 8, Con. 6 of the Clarenceville lots, and seems to have been deceased by about 1827. Is this the same Joseph JOHNSON, who was married to Mary, and had a son Stephen born 16 Nov 1827 and baptized 16 Dec 1827 (Caldwell Manor and Christie Manor Anglican). I have not found Joseph in the 1825 census, but it is possible that I missed him. Perhaps the 2 Joseph Johnsons were father and son? Any information appreciated. Diane Brigode brigode@uswest.net
