Seeking any and all information on the surname PLACE. Members were known to have been in Brome and Stanstead County at various times during the late 1700s and onward, with frequent stints in Franklin and Orleans County, Vermont. I am especially in need of finding the parents of BENJAMIN PLACE, born 10 Sept 1809 in either Potton or Bolton. His mother was POLLY CAMBER who was born in Stratford, VT in 1793, the Camber family moved to Stanstead shortly after 1800. No Camber family researcher seems to know anything about Polly once she left her parents home. If there is a marriage record for Polly Camber in Stanstead I wish someone could PLEASE, get it to me, or any information at all about this person. If someone could find a copy of the birth record of Benjamin Place either in Potton or Bolton I would be most grateful. I need HELP. I have bought all the records on this family that Marlene Simmons has available, all to no avail, but I know something has to be out there, somewhere.
