I am trying to find out what happened to my great grandfather John Roberts Widdup. He was born in England in 1870 and emigrated in 1898. His last known whereabouts are in the 1901 census in Sherbrooke. He was kiving in Melbourne Strret as a book keeper. He was married to Emily France and had two children, Harry born in 1899 and Percy born in 1900. Percy died in 1868 in Vancouver. Does anybody recognise the name Widdup in their family tree. i have tried to foolow this through Harry and Percy but perhaps there were more children who were daughters. I Has anyone any idea how I can widen my research. I am running out of ideas and hope. I have been looking for John for 4 years now!
