    3. Julia You mentioned that I should get baptism records or birth certificates for my ggrandparents as it would show their parents names. I do not know the date of their marriage as of yet so I can not get a marriage record. I know that it is different in Quebec compared to here, so excuse my ignorance, but the record of my grandparents marriage I have is the actual parish record. Now, would it be best for a certificate from the etat civil, or a parish record of the birth, if I can get it. Which is the better one to have? If the certificate is good, long form showing parents or actual act. I dont know if you can order birth registrations there. Ggrandparents are buried at Hawthorn-Dale cemetery and their son (my grandfather) was married in First Presbyterian Church in Montreal, so I gather they were this. I am going to check a marriage index to see if I can find their marriage, maybe even the parish of my grandparents would be the same as my ggrandparents!!! The location of the marriage though would kind of tell me where possibly Leslie Cecil martin, my granfather was born. A census, I have to know what township. My closest library to me that has all that is 45 minutes away and I have two little ones, but if I know the film no, my library here has a reader so that would be alot closer. Anyhow, I just wondered what was the best route to go for the info. I also wondered what other cemeteries there might be that if my grandfather is not alive, I might find him at one of those as he is not a Mount Royal or Hawthorne-Dale. Thanks, Karen
