I have just discovered that my Great Great Grandfather David G. BAKER was born December 12, 1843 in Stanbridge, Quebec, Canada. How would I go about getting a copy of his birth certificate or some sort of christening record? I believe he was Protestant--he was listed as Baptist later in the partial Iowa, USA, census of 1895. This is my first post, and I hope you'll forgive me if this is information that has been given out before. Also, if anyone knows of the Baker family from that area, I'd love to hear from them.
