    1. [QC-ETANGLO] Chapman (Nelson) bp. in Sanbornton, NH /other family names
    2. Hello fellow list members, I posted a month or two back with just 2 names John W. Chapman b.1832 and his wife Carrie (I had no last name). The combined information from all the wonderful people on this list who sent me what information they had helped me greatly, Thank You!. My uncle had pretty much given up on tracing the Chapman's in the Eastern townships. Through your help, I have been able to trace John W. Chapman and his wife Carrie *Marston* b. 1840 to Vermont and possibly even NH. Here is an update. I was able to get a marriage record in Vermont and found that JOHN W. CHAPMAN is the son of JOSEPH Chapman and ANNA (Nelson) in Brome County. I had thought that John was a son but had been unable to show it. I now have 2 children listed who are definitely children of Joseph and Anna; John W. and Mahala b.1826(married William McGlue and poss. someone else). I am also pretty sure that Joseph and Anna also had a son named Greeley. The marriage on John W. Chapman also says he was baptized in Sanbornton. There is no Sanbornton in Vermont now but there is a SANBORNTON town in NH. Many Chapman's are in this area so I am hoping and searching. :-) I believe I may be able to then find some of the Chapman's connected to Joseph Chapman in the Eastern Townships if I can find Joseph's connection. Many of the Chapman's living in Sanbornton are originally from Rockingham county. I was also able to find out about ABOUT Carrie Marston's family. Many of her siblings went to Knowlton, Brome County and married. Her father is Orvis and her mother is Caroline LITCH. There is an entire book first published in 1888 devoted to the Marston line. Some names are just a little bit off though. If any one knows any more about this family I would love to know about it. Thank You for all your help. All the best, Joyce
