    3. Hi, I have extensive roots in Hatley, Barnston, and Coaticook. There are volumes of info re The Eastern Townships at Bishops University in Lennoxville which is just south of Sherbrooke Quebec. I researched there a few years ago and found these volumes to be very helpful: BIRTHS, MARRIAGES, AND DEATHS from 1815-1879. These from the DISTRICT OF ST.FRANCIS from the Church Records of 16 denominations, Catholics NOT included. The info given records parents, church of baptism, and witnesses. I think you can contact the University and perhaps they will research for you without fee if the request isn't too extensive. Or contact the Archives for access to the records I have mentioned above.
