    3. >From the various Notarial repertoires recently put up by Ancestry I have one that is puzzling me. Does anyone have any idea or information why Leonard Schoolcraft (of St. Armand/Potton) would be using an alias of "Stone" or how to find out about that? Notarial Records, Edmund Clement, #3204, #3205, Apr 12th 1855: Exchange ?sutre? Mefsrs James Slade Allen junior and Leonard Peter Schoolcraft alias Stone Notarial Records, Edmund Clement, #3205, Apr 12th 1855: Deed of Sale from Mr. Leonard Peter Schoolcraft alias Stone to Robert McCackill Esq. Background: Leonard is enumerated in St. Armand East in 1852 and Potton in 1861 and thereafter. While there is a substantial marital relationship between Schoolcraft and Stone in St. Ignace de Stanbridge it occurred in a branch it was with Leonard Schoolcraft's great aunt and thus unlikely to be significant.
