Trying to find more information regarding my HIGGINS line. Specifically, John Higgins, b May 4, 1811 England d June 10, 1880. I'm ultimately trying to identify his parents. Supposedly from a hand-written family history, John Higgins came to Canada at a young age, indirectly from Ireland, with an uncle William Higgins, who was a member of the "horse guards". (Calvary maybe???) Would like to know what regiments that may have been in the area before 1833 (year John married in Dunham) that Wm Higgins may have assigned to. Thank you for any assistance.
