    3. Hi Betty, Thank you for the great list of HENDERSONS. It is quite possible our Kerr and Henderson's are connected as well: "JAMES KERR was born 1804 in Ireland, and died Sep 4, 1873 in Waterville, Compton Twnshp, PQ1. He married JANE HENDERSON. She was born 1810 in Ireland, and died Jun 12, 1885 in Village of Coaticook, Stanstead Co." They farmed at North Hatley, Compton Township (Range 4, lot 28) and had five children. Only the last child was born in Quebec. The rest were born in an unknown place in Ireland. We originally though Country Antrim but I can't find any documentation to support that. Maybe they are also from Sligo. According to the 1851 census the children were: 1851 Census, Compton Twp., Sherbrooke Co., Quebec. pp 1-3. LDS Film #0517296 James Kerr, age 43 born Ireland, Methodist, shoemaker Jane Kerr, age 41 born Ireland James, age 22, born Ireland, Methodist, labourer Catherine, age 17, born Ireland, Methodist Jemina, age 14, born Ireland, Methodist, attended school William, age 11, born Ireland, Methodist, attended school Sarah J., age 4 born Ireland, Methodist [other records say Sarah was born in Quebec, and I have a copy of her Quebec birth certificate] Any connections? I have more information on this family if anyone is interested and would like to swap notes. Thanks, Joan (KERR)Miller [email protected] www.luxegen.net
