"History of the Eastern Townships, Province of Quebec, Dominion of Canada; civil & descriptive" (by Mrs. Catherine Matilda Day; published 1869) states: pg. 264: "Richard Adams of Irish birth, came from Henniker, Newhampshire, at a very early period in the history of Bolton." pg. 265 states: "During the later years of his life he was kindly cared for by a daughter, an only child who had married a person named Thompson, and died at Bolton in 1830, aged nearly 76 years." I suspect that Richard's daughter (unknown name) connects to one of my Thompson family members!
